Michel Soskine Inc. was founded in 1984 in New York and in 2005 in Madrid. The gallery specializes in contemporary art.
Through gallery exhibitions and Art Fairs such as Art Brussels, The Armory Show, Arco (and Chicago or Art Paris in the past), Michel Soskine has introduced young and mid career artists both in the United States and in Europe and continues to search for young talents.
The gallery aims to offer artists works of the highest quality, through personal choices that do not preclude diversity.
Based on this policy, Michel Soskine has also also organized theme group exhibitions such as Artist Self-Portraits, The Look in Photography or 5 Latin American Artists as well as several group exhibition such as Works on Paper organized with the aim to juxtapose young artists with artists such as Giacometti, Max Ernst and Kupka.
Over the years, the gallery has also published catalogs with texts by noted authors such as Umberto Eco, Leonora Carrington, James Lord and Marcos Barnatan.
The gallery has placed important works in several public collections such as the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, the Georges Pompidou Center, the Louisiana Museum, The Sainsbury Center for the Arts, The Getty Museum, The Art Institute of Chicago, Fundación Telefonica, Fondation Guerlain and others.
